Ok, I just installed my TurboXS HPBC and went around the block for a test run, hit in between 12-15psi according to my AutoMeter boost gauge, car stalled right after boosting the second time, start it back up, head towards my house and the orange crown-looking light comes on, about to pull in driveway and it stalls again. I installed the thing 100% by the directions, and I couldn't find any leaks after the test run. Please help me out, I'd like to enjoy my birthday without killing my car :(

Here's a pic, does this look right?

I unplugged the MAS and took it and the filter out to get to the boost control solenoid, I was going to do the BCS removal mod but ended up not doing it because I can't get to one of the bolts. Anyhow, so yeah I did unhook the MAS and hook it back up, do I need to reset the ECU by unhooking the negative battery terminal?

I agree with larry ... when the car stalls like that, its usually because a I/C hose came off, you would know if it really blew off because the car wouldn't want to hardly drive at all. I din't get a CEL though when mine came off.

I believe you are refering to the low collant warning. Just check and see how much you have. I might be way off but eh?

well i talked to him on AIM.. he still has BCS hooked up to the intake.. not sure where the other end is going if anywhere.. so I had him loop the the BCS and cap off the intake.. check for boost leaks and get back to me.

I still can't figure this out, after looping the BCS and re-routing some of the hoses. No leaks I can find, idle seems to be kind of rough and if I rev it while in neutral sitting still it stalls when the RPMs go back down to normal, or comes damn near close to stalling(like 300-400 rpms, then jumps back to 700-800). Driving is fine, pulls hard, though I still need to turn down the boost, I floored it once and hit 18psi but regular acceleration yields in between 12 and 15psi, depending on how hard I push the pedal. I can not for the love of God figure out the stalling though, it's only stalling at ~10-15mph and under while coasting in neutral or in gear with the clutch pressed, it's stalled both times coasting down to speed to pull in my driveway and just generally almost every time I coast down to 10mph unless I keep the revs up until I stop. If anyone has any suggestions, please don't hesitate to post them, today has been bad enough and it's my friggin birthday, I can't imagine what tonight is going to be like.

I only followed the instructions that came with it, but they also said if you're planning to go higher than 15psi it would be more accurate to have it on the hose to the TB or something like that. That said, I only plan on using 12-13psi, so I did it this way.

Anyone have any ideas about the stalling?

hmm.. well i have the joe p. and the installation is rather simple. All you do is T the bottom vac line to the vac line coming from your bov. and the other to the wastegate. u cut the 'Y' split that is there and u cap the other 2 remaining lines.

thats it.. i've never had problems...

g'luck :)

you can hook it up either way.. you can have it Td off the blow off valve, and cap the turbo like the install guide in the vfaq shows or you can run it in between the turbo and wastegate. So long as its getting positive pressure on one side and vacuum on the other i belive.

If it only stalls after letting off the gas, it sounds like you may be venting to the air (ie:not recirculating) check the black platic tube thing that comes from the BOV going to the intake.

You might also try removing the "T" on the 'to turbo' line, and hooking the mbc right to the turbo, then plug the hose that was on the "T" going to the left in your pic. If I remember that should also get rid of the bcs.
Before doing the above get a second opinion(I could be wrong), or you may break something.

Try removing the mbc and see if the problem goes away. Go back to stock then you know if the mbc is the problem.
