I'm ready to go ahead an upgrade the intercooler for the GST..

what are your goals for your car? is it a daily drive? you could make your car a hell of a lot faster than the 05 evo, but at the same time, do you want a newer car?

You'll also be probably looking at a higher car payment with the evo unless you have the money to buy it outright. Plus with the evo you'll have awd and it already does high 13s and its a great car so its up to you.

Have you driven the '05 Evo? I would do that first. I was going to buy an Evo, but decided against it after driving one. I am sure most people (especially on this forum) will disagree, but I don't like the car's acceleration characteristics and looks. I personally am going to drive my Eclipse until it dies.

Since you have a GST I say buy the EVO VIII. I think the EVO VIII looks quite nice and it has back seats that adult humans can actually sit in, plus it's a world class car.

I would like to keep the eclipse and buy the evo that's what i really want, but i can't do that. I will probably go and test drive an EVO then decide if it's really worth selling my eclipse. The eclipse looks much better than the Evo but still evo is has some advantages over a 99 GST.

it might be worthwhile since it is awd and you have fwd. trust me, after driving fwd for a while, i hate it. i love my awd, it makes a huge difference. deffinately test drive the evo before you sell off your car. they are nice, but the car doesnt have the same feel as the eclipse does. you gotta figure out which you like better.

You'll like the awd drive of the evo vs your gst and upgrade are pretty simple in order to get more power. I would say in your case sell it and get the evo MR.

I used to have an EVO. There isn't anything cooler than owning one. As far as you're concerned with modding or EVO, I'd say stick with the GS-t. I have one now. Actually the EVO is a much better "all around car." As far as acceleration goes, your GS-t is going to kick some major EVO ass, especially from a roll. The EVO engine is a lot stronger than your GS-t is. Modding the EVO is going to be a little more expensive than the GS-t will be, and the best part of owning the GS-t. YOU CAN BLOW THE EVO OUT OF THE WATER with your GS-t if you spend 27k on it. I, however, regret everyday that I sold my EVO. So if you are emotionally attatched to your GS-t then don't sell it.
