I'm trying to decide which camset to go with, but i'd perfer not to have to degree them or having to purchase a set of adjustable camgears. Has anyone installed either of these without having to adjust or degree? I'm trying to max out this T04.

No I can't personally back this up, but I when I bought my car the guy worked at a DSM shop and said that the FP2's are awesome and work best at stock settings. He put them in other cars and lost hp either way if he messed with the timing.

The only difference between the 2 is the way they drop in. The fp2's centerline index is different, so between the 2 FP2's will be more of a drop in cam.

I am running comp 100s daily on my new motor with stock cam gears and stock cam timing. Engine runs great and Idles like a kitten at 800 rpm. I am happy with them as well as using a B16g with them complements the turbo perfect.

2 month ago, I installed 101200 by drop it in. I didn't tune my car. I went to degree it few days ago. Before I dyno it and show 285whp @ 17psi on pump gas. After degree and tuning, I got 310whp @ the same boost.
BTW, I have EVO3 GT.

I know a guy with the 101200's. He just dropped them in. His username on here is brokentsi and he just ran 10.96 this past weekend. My other friend has fp2's that he just dropped in also. And I will be doing the same when I decide to put my car back together.

I just degree'd my fp2's. They were off a little (2 degrees on the exhaust, and 4 degrees on the intake). This was probably more because my head was resurfaced and block decked during my rebuild. But, I strongly suggest degreeing any aftermarket cam on a rebuilt engine. Even on a stock engine the cams may not be perfect but they should be close enough just dropping them in.

ya i have comp 200's and b4 i had adjustables i dropped them right in with no problems.. car ran great!

I run the FP2x cams dropped right in stock gears it purrs like a kitten and pulls 17in. vacc. @ 900 rpms.

kinda sad though rowdy ass cams and they sound like stock
