From tank braided, inline fuel filter or stock with adapters, all the way through the regulator. Is it worth it? You can get the full set up with new filter from tank to regulator all fittings etc for 165 shipped. I have an AFPR and 255 I'm about to put on, question is should I wait and put this on also. The VFAQ says it helps flow alot but I'd like to hear of anyone else who has done it.

Thanks!
Matt

If you're just now putting in a 255, you are far from needing to upgrade the whole fuel system. Stock system is good for mid 10's. IMO, use the money for something else that'll do something for you now.

I'm pretty much at the last couple steps of upgrading now, meaning the last couple things I need to upgrade now are injectors, turbo, and clutch to be done with stages I and II. (I know I know, clutch shoulda been done a while ago but the guy who had it before me replaced it 15k ago so I couldn't feel the need YET to pay 800 bucks for the whole package). Since I was down there anyway figured I'd go ahead and just do it once. From the vfaq information on flow the guy tested, I can't see why anyone wouldn't do it based on the jump in flow you get. It was only $135 shipped for the whole set up from the pump to the inlet side of the fuel rail. That includes the line, cushion holders for the lines, fittings, new inline filter, fuel rail adapter, and everything at 5/16 also. That's pretty cheap insurance it'd seem to me. Just over the cost of a 255 shipped. Hell some people pay $200 bucks for a boost gauge when they can be had for $50 bucks :)

Thoes numbers are damn impressive, but you can see that the trick is in the 1600cc injectors. I would rather spend the extra $$$$ with that much power and stock lines it would be way too easy to lean out and cook your engine.

But, god damn thoes are impressive numbers :thumb:

What on earth does injector size have to do with the limitations of the fuel flow trough a fuel line? If the factory line could not flow enough fuel the car would still lean out on the top end. 1600cc injectors are just going to operate at a lower duty cycle than a smaller injector for the same afr.
