never never land, Maryland
i WILL start buying mods for my car at the end of next month. i have a 91 eagle talon awd/w 65k(all stock!). i will list everything that ill be getting. and what i would like you to help me do is.... break the mods up into one day sessions. i want to be efficient w/my time and try my best to avoid more than one day downtime. but if i MUST have 2 days, its ok.(ill be modding my car on days off work) please keep in mind that i havent modded cars yet! but i have a "general" understanding on all the parts and DONT find it hard to follow directions ive seen or read, so i other than being kinda slow i dont think ill have too much of a problem w/installing stuff.

2g mas w/pipe
Gauges (boost, egt, and trans temp)
MBC
FMIC
Turbo back exhaust
Fuel pump
Injectors
SBR e16g w/manifolds (1g kit) <--- should i get the evo ported?
DSMLink
Head studs <--- do i need this for 20 psi?

(dont worry about the trans, got it figured)
thanks for your help guys! you dont see anything missing do you? :talon:

You can do that all one shot in one day.
If ur changing ur head bolts ur gonna have to take off the head and if u are I would advise putting on a metal hg .

Ive heard of people blowing stock hgs running more then 18 psi (maybe on highmilage motors i dotn know). The gasket part that is between the cylinders(the thinest part) that blows out and u have compression going between cylinders and that wears out the head and makes it un usable.

Gauges (boost, egt, and trans temp) (just wait and install the probe when you put the mani on)
MBC
Fuel pump (ild look into re-wiring it as well, check v-faq)
-----
Turbo back exhaust
SBR e16g w/manifolds (1g kit) yes port that bastard, esp above the wastegate entrance, dont want boost creep now, do we :)
-----
DSMLink
injectors
-----
FMIC

i think thats a somewhat conservative list...
yea, you could have less 'sessions' but you dont want to install a bunch of crap all at once... because if you have a problem, itll be 10 times harder to track down... this way youll be able to make sure your car still runs properly after each set of installs... and then once its all together, and the car is running relatively well for daily driveing, then you can tune the BEAST!!

only reason i say not to install pump and injectors at the same time, is if you have a leak... youll be able to tell which one it is, pump or injectors... everything else is pretty obvious..

what pump are you getting?? i would buy an AFPR instead of the ARPs if i was you... allthough the arps are still important... but since your not taking the headgasket off, ild just wait and do that at a later time... and stick with an OEM gasket(metals dont always seal good, and OEM is good for ~25 PSI, give or take)

Well I definately wouldn't put everything on at once. Sometimes something will slow the car down or there will be a problem and you won't know what. Why not dsmlink first, since you can tune and log what is going on. I would say gauges, 2g mass with pipe and mbc could all go on the first day. Drive it around, look at dsmlink. Then I would go with injectors, pump, then the next day turbo and exhaust. The fuel mods, pump and injectors are not that difficult and the exhaust is pretty simple. Then I would do the fmic since that will take some time with fitment, but shouldn't be extremely difficult. After each mod I would drive around and log the car, tune it and see where you stand.
