Fuel pump question IMPORTANT !

....is there any possible way that u can tell if there's a fuel pump in ur car with out actually ripping apart ur fuel setup...the guy i bought my car off of awhile ago told me there was a tt supra pump in there....i didn't care when i first bought it...but like every other person out there...the DSM world sucked me in and now i need to know due to the fact i will now be making a descent amount of horse...any inputs would be helpful...would a datalogger help in anyway ??....

The only way to find out is to actually look. A datalogger might help, but more of a tuning resourse. I just say take out your pump to actually figure it out, its not very hard and doesnt take very long to do either.

Well... if you have a Supra Fuel pump you should also have an aftermarket FPR (Fuel Pressure Regulator) or else your car would run pretty crappy (datalogger=pig rich). So if the car runs fine... check the FPR. If the FPR is stock... there's a good chance the Fuel pump is stock too.

Yes there is! The easiest way IMO is to put the key in the ignition and crank the engine over. If it starts then there is a fuel pump in the car, if not further diagnosis will be needed.

Actually pulling the pump out and looking isn't that hard to do so I'd just do that to see what pump is in there.

If you had a larger pump in your car you should be able to hear it quite clearly at idle. My Walbro sounds like a small jet plane idling.

A supra pump won't be nearly as loud as a Walbro though. They don't call them Whinebro's for nothin!
