Lower Timing Belt Cover ?

Real quick question....

I'm wondering if a 7bolt lower timing belt cover fit a 6 bolt...or do I even need the cover?

I am not sure about the cover compatability but you defenitly need a lower timing cover. Reason is you wouldn't want a rock, road debris, ect. taking out your timing belt and ruining all your hard work would you? Not to mention all the accellerated wear on your timing parts from sand, dirt, grime, water, or salt on those timing pulleys and bearings and belt. I'd search Extreme Forums for 6 bolt/7 seven bolt swap detail or go look on Buschur Racing or SBR see if the 7 bolt and 6 bolt lower timing cover has the same part number. You'd be amazed what you can learn if you read and search rather than ask immediatly. Good luck

you need a cover for it, and it needs to be a 6 bolt one. Check this link and scroll down for pics of each one.

I used my 7 bolt but I had to do some slight trimming. Also only like 4 of the mounting bolts lined up ... I'll be putting a 6 bolt one on as soon as I find one.
