Can we get some common sense on this website?

We have an article in the tech section suggesting tolulene, in a 10% concentration, can increase 91 octane to 116 octane....significantly higher then tolulene itself. Furthermore it lists the ricer magazine HCI as a resource.

Agreed. That definitley needs to be redone or removed.

I think they sell it at paint supply stores. I tried a 25% concentration of xylene in my tank one time. The car ran like crap, but I passed emissions with flying colors

Hmmm.....maybe its because i'm in the DC area, could'nt find it last time I looked told it was taken off the market for that reason. But so asctone and its still out.

there are lots better articles on the internet about this. in fact, if i wasnt so lazy id open up my favorites menu and spew forth all sorts of info. you will have to wait until i get unlazy and that may take days.

those are two good sites. the first site is against it, the second one is for it. they provide mixtures and statistical information. when im done with this class ill do a tech article writeup.

also, when mixing toluene, please use gloves. it is easily absorbed through the skin and it will mess you up.

Last time I was in Lowe's I felt like I was the only one who had any common sense but a nice stash of toulene so you tell me which I was talking about.
