Hello guys,
I did a search on this but could not find the answer. This may be a stupid question (guess I won't know untill I get the answer) but the dumb questions are the one's you don't ask so here it goes.
How can I identify a TD05H 7cm exhaust housing to a stock 6cm housing? Here is why I ask, I purchased a car that came with a TON of parts in the hatch. One of them was a supposed to be a "big" 16G ported and all. Well, I measured the comp wheel to find out it is a regular 16G, but it has a nice port job so no big deal. Anyways, whoever did the porting on this went mad on the exhaust side and completly removed the wastegate. For my current combo I want to use the internal wastegate and save some money to use elsewhere. I have a stock 14B exhaust housing (6cm I guess) that I want to port and use on this turbo. But I am told the 16G's come with the 7cm housing. Is this true? From the eye I can see no difference but then again I do not know where to look. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I would love to hear them.
BTW: I was looking at the Extreme Motorsports web site and they have a 16G to 20G conversion that includes a comp wheel and housing. It is cheaper then buying a 20G since I have the 16. Anyone tried this before? Thanks for the help everyone.
