Just curious to whether someone that has thrown everything from a turbo into a non? I am just curious how it would run and when it would start to pull. If my calculations are correct it would probably be a monster on the highway, but could be wrong. Let me know if you or a friend has done this. Im just curious b/c i have a n/a and turbo 1g.

im sure it would pull as much as ur 1g with a similar turbo but ud probably fry the rings cause of the higher compression in the n/a and risk pre ignition with all that fuel and air being forced in :| some new rings and lower comp pistons would do it good

Are you talking about a stock long block? the block is pretty much the same and the crank is the same. I have a N/A block in my 2.3 GSX.

yeah i am talking about a stock longblock, my n/a has higher compression so just curious how it would react to the turbo.

It would be famous...It's just a question as to how long the pistons would hold up. there are a lot of guys running that ratio on the street these days.

Its not the compresion ratio that matters with a n/a block it is the weak pistons that you have to worry about. they are not constructed the same as the pistons that are pulled out of turbo motors

Pistons will hold up fine if you keep the boost under 9 psi. My friend had a stock turbo set up on his nt engine and it was pretty quick.
