My car already had a Greddy Type-S BOV installed when I purchased it, and now that I've done quite a bit of work to the car, I want to tune it. Does anyone know where I can find a manual for the BOV in .PDF format? Failing that, does anyone know where I can find extensive info on the use and tuning of this BOV specifically? I've been on Greddy's site, and I've searched all over for this, all with no luck. Any help you guys could supply would be well appreciated. Thanks.

call greddy direct. if they won't tell you call extreme motorsports ect... more than likely they all will tell you don't mess with it unless you already have. loosing it or tightening it will make it either make it leak under pressure or not open to lesser vaccum pressures. it is usually set from the factory pretty good. you just got to listen to it, if it opens too early or doesn't open at all under certain boost pressures.

Do you mean the soft and hard nut on there? from what i know i keep it at 3 turns away from hard for daily driving, and tighten it up if your gonna race.

RRE has some info. on adjusting the Greddy Type S. http://www.roadraceengineering.com/instructions/rreicpipeinstructions.htm
I also found this on an EVO site, which talks very extensively about the Type S. http://www.evomoto.com/tech_info.php?tPath=1&tech_id=7

It is not a set amount of turns for daily driving and another set amount of turns for racing. You want the valve to hold closed under your max boost but not be overly tight that it doesn't want to open under part boost lift.

I usually set it by tightening it in small steps until I hear compressor surge at full boost lift. Then I back it off in small increments until the compressor surge goes away. Only takes a few pulls.

A compressor surge sounds way different from the BOV. A compressor surge sound comes from you airfilter, basically tighten up your type-s to the harder side untill you hear a funky sounding noise coming from your airfilter. Then loosen the Bov till the sound goes away. but make sure the bov isn't too loose or the valve may stay open too long and make the car want to stall when the engine is coming back down to idle.
