i will be installing a small 16g turbo upgrade on my 98 gsx. I will also be putting a FMIC, turbo xs RFL, turbo timer, and an injen intake system. I was wondering if my stock injectors will support this upgrade. If not i need to know what size injectors to use.

I would suggest at least 550's. Normaly anything bigger then a 14b, you need bigger injectors. 550's will be fine for you with that turbo, but if you plan on going bigger, id look into 650's, or 680's. But with that said.. you need the stuff to run 550's such as an SAFC. A fuel pump is recomended as well as rewiring the fuel pump. And then you need a pocket logger or DSM link to monitor it all and tune it.

how well will the stock injectors run with this turbo system....or will they?

They will sorta work.. but not really. If you keep the stock injectors, you will not be able to turn the boost up past... lets say no more then 13ish....give or take a few psi. Youll end up maxxing out your injectors. I maxxed out my 450's on my ported 14b.

i put up some pics of the gsx on the gallery. Let me know what you think!

i think you'd be safe running 15 psi on that turbo and stock 450's and pump. just dont attempot tuning it or turning up the boost till you upgrade the pump and injectors :dsm:

*edit* about the pics of your car. alot of people would call that rice. i'm a high believer though that if a car has some serious balls to back it up then its ok to an extent. get some speed mods done to it and i give you a :thumb:

Anyway, about the stock injectors. You should be fine for a bit. I would upgrade the pump at least just for some added peace of mind. I ran 15 psi for a long time on my small 16g with stock injectors. I hate you for life. You took my dream car and turned it into an Uncle Ben's mobile.

how do you like those small 16g's, i was thinking about an evoiii eventually, but since i havent built up all the supporting mods is that small 16g a good size gain?

Go for the Evo 3. If I had known the differences in the 16g family I would have bought an Evo 3. The small 16g maxes out at about 36lbs a minute, the big 16g can do about 38 and the Evo 3 has seen 42 which is approaching 20g territory. The Evo3 spools just as quick but makes more power, how could you go wrong?
