Since im the poorest guy alive and i love tinkering with my dsm i put a boost gauge in from sunpro yesterday.. it was 2o bucks.but it works acurately. anyway.. i no that the black selnoid that is connected to your airbox that has 2 tubes running into it is what opens the wastegate. It simply reads the psi the turbo is producing at the compressor housing and once it gets to abut 11 on stock setup it opens the wastegate...So with my intellegence i found that giving the tube between the compresser housing and selnoid a snip and inserting a barbed "T" connector and running another tube off of that to a valve would allow me to control the pressure in the tube by allowing the valve to leak some pressure out therefore bypassing the selnoid of fooling it into thinking its only at 11 psi when it can be at 20. to do this i would recomend having an aftermarket boostgauge because the valve i have is very sensitive with just turning the valve frorm closed position a 3/4 turn i was at 22 psi with a new tdo5 turbo
you can find the valve an dconnector and tubing at ace, home depot and any other big hardware store... remember you must have an after market boost gauge to do this safely and dont run your boost at over 17 for extended amounts of time.. if you have any further questions im glad to answer them.
