This is a 3" mandrel bent, T-304 stainless steel exhaust. The muffler stainless with a 4" polished tip. This awesome system flows 99.9% of a totally straight exhaust! This is a simple, direct bolt-on replacement with included stainless steel clamps and is machined 1018 steel flanges. Pictured is the exhaust for the 1st generation GS-T.
MSRP $495.00 Your Price $435.00

does anyone use it? how do you like performance and sound?
Im looking for a nice exhaust on budget!:thumb:

Twitch do like im doing i picked up a Apex Turbo N-1 muffler and go down to the local exhaust shop........ have them cut all your old pipeing off the stock back to the cat and have them weld up a bit bigger with no resonators =) 190 for the muffler .......and the exhaust shop ??? well i'll know tomorrow Oct 28th noon time. im sure its going to be under 435 tho =)

Later

I have a ATR on my GSX and I have to get a flex section welded in. I would go with Apexi parts after having this troublesome straight pipe.

I have that exact exhaust on my 90 FWD laser. 3" catback (2.5" DSM performance DP and testpipe also). Heres my thoughts on it. its decent. its a 3" catback that is routed over the rear axle. if you can even find a muffler shop that can bend 3" pipe, they wont be able to get it over the axle. trust me i shopped around. Plus its SS and mandrel bent also. the drawbacks are that it is held together with clamps (but you can weld it) and ive had mine on for a little over a year and now the inside of the muffler rattles slightly. its a little annoying, but lots of people have told me it was a great sounding exhaust (before the rattling started) and for the price its best one out there i believe. One thing you might not know: the tip comes out the back of the car straight but the muffler itself is angled up to clear the axle. some people think it looks wierd. i dont really care because it performs well. hope this helped.

HEY ROB thanks for the thought but I own A FWD that exhaust is for a AWD.....but thanks for the help.:thumb:

sorry i guess i was looking for me too =) but got a custom exhaust over the weekend =)

I have an ATR 3" cat back on my all wheel drive. I have had some people tell me its loud and I have even had the cops colled on me, but I dont think it is any where close to as loud as many exhaust systems I have heard.

I had this exhaust on my talon for a few years. It droans like a mofo on the highway.. It's not the loudest, but it's pretty damn loud. Sounds good at the track!

I really like the atr. The thing you have to consider when you purchase an exhaust is you have your big names(G$%##y, A*&x, etc) that make really great looking and performing and expensive exhausts. Then there are the others like the ATR. It works just as good as the big names but really doesn't have a real flare to it. I like this for the eclipse, b/c it makes it look kinda stock still. My 95 looks like a 97-99 GS w/ a big muff tip, dropped, w/ rims. Oh yea, and a big FMIC. It seems alot of the import market has this flare that some companies do provide in their products. Everything else on my car is now G$%##y (except turbo and FMIC) I even thought of replacing my exhaust, but I don't think they make a DP. Also. on my Mr2 I have G$%##y evo exhaust, G$%##y sideskirts, G$%##y gauges, G$%##y blowoff valve, G$%##y profec b, etc. Everything is big name on it.

I went to A local muffler shop and they are building my exhaust for me.

3" DP
test pipe
resinator
3"cat back
Magnaflow muffler

all this plus labor to build the parts and install then 550 no tax im really happy

sounds great good deal beats just paying 500 for just a cat back makes no cents 0.00 ....thats the way i went custom and sounds awsome

custom's cool.. but no one's ever going to want to buy mine used cuz it's all hacked up. My exhaust used to be a full ATR turbo back system.. but it has since had two bullet mufflers installed, been flanged, modified to work w/ a 3" o2 housing, and I changed my muffler to an edelbrock to quiet things down a bit. It's been reworked so many times that it feels and looks like junk to me.. haha.. still gets the job done tho.

i have a 3 inch downpipe with no cat and the 3" ATR catback...i do not think it is any were near loud...but yah it sounds real good...a tuned...but still "raw" sound to it. i always read on reviews that the atr is very loud...when i started my car up after the install i jsut thought...is that all? hehe. but point is it sounds great in my opinion, despite the clamp conections its a great quality exhaust. as for loud my brothers vorteched 90' 5.0 is one loud mo-fo....heh later.
