How do you eliminate fuel cut on a 1g with a maf translator v. 2.01? I think that's why the car sucks above 14psi, it's a possibility?

I've heard it can be done, I can't help you on that, but I would like to make one small suggestion, check everything to make sure it's ok first. Fuel cut is designed to happen when your injector pulse reaches 1.0. I was getting horrible fuel cut at anything over 14psi on my last Talon, couldn't figure out why, pulled my ECU, opened her up and one of the caps was leaking bad. Swapped in a buddies ECU, voila! No more fuel cut. So just be sure to make sure your car is working correctly before you perform a workaround for fuel cut :thumb: :dsm:

MAFT version 2.01 does not have a fuel cut eliminator. They took it out, didnt really work that great and was a bad idea to have. Like the other guy said. You have something else going on. I run over 14psi all the time, no cut.

Now, if you have the base or wot knobs set to rich that could also lead to fuel cut.

I'm pretty sure the problem is fuel cut now. Fuel cut kicks in at a certain maf reading I don't think it's related to injectors. Because improving injectors/fuel pump doesn't help. Any suggestions guys? What does fuel cut sound like? The car makes a rapid puh puh puh puh puh puh puh sound when it hits 14PSI or above, and under one run accelerating from 2000-6500 in second gear the car blew a puff of white or gray smoke from the exhaust as soon as it hit 15PSI.

Fuel cut makes the car feel like it hit a damned brick wall. What you have sounds more like studdering caused by a boost leak somewhere.

I was wrong about the fuel injector pulse (I think) I thought it had something to do with it but I might have been mistaken.

It sounds more like the car is missing. Fuel cut is determined by the airflow signal, but fuel controllers lower the airflow signal so fuel cut isn't hit so in a way going with larger injectors gets around it.

The MAFT or the S-AFC will not eliminate fuel cut on their own. Fuel cut isn't a switch that can be turned off, it is a parameter set in the computer. When you flow too much air the computer will cut fuel plain and simple. Couple the MAFT or SAFC or both with a set of injectors that are larger than stock then you can push fuel cut further away. This happens because you use the tuning devices to trick the computer to believe that the engine is consuming less air than it actually is. Max out those injectors and you will be seeing fuel cut again.
