1999 2G FWD fuel pump looks different then vfaq...extra wires?! HELP!!

Ok I have this extra black wire harness bolted to the fuel pump. What is this? Also the power connector on the pump cover points to the driver side so the wire connector goes in pointed to the passanger side.

Now picture my power connector rotated 100degrees counterclock wise, and a black box attached to the cover right underneath the power connector...wtf?! :cry:

Really not that hard... trim a triangle in the metal so the fuel line can come out(assuming you disconected it from the bottom of the car) And pull it out and swap the new pump in. Very straight forward and easy.

Ya it is that easy IF YOU DON'T HAVE A EXTRA WIRE HARNESS ATTACHED TO THE PUMP COVER LOL
 
I have it too, just unplug it or take the two screw out and set it aside while you swap pumps. It's just some sort of pressure sensor or something. It doesn't get in the way of the swap.
