Hey everyone, I have a dsm and its broke, surprise, well i have to have my engine rebuilt and i was wondering since I'm kind of new to this what kind of things could i have added, i want it to be reliable and fast on the street, I've heard of some things, but would appreciate any input, its a 94 talon tsi. thanks in advance

im having my motor rebuilt right now. The machine shop said that they dont do work half ass, so they are doing 95 pistson, clevite bearings, arp everything, new oil pump, bored .20 over, balance shaft eliminator, cometic head gasket, 3 angle valve job, hks 272 cams, hks cam gears, crower springs/retianers...... That is a killer street setup, most people buy forged rods/pistons for their 16g, 50trim, and FP green turbos when they are def not needed. Stock pistons/rods can hold 475-500awhp all day. I say do the 2g pistons, 1g rods, new oil pump,ect..... that should last you a good 50-75k miles. good luck

Thanks man i appreciate it, i had considered the 2g pistons, but the others are new suggestions, definately too many options, thanks again

If you want basically OEM parts (2G Pistons, 1G rods etc) you won't find them cheaper ANYWHERE besides www.eagleautomotivewarehouse.com
You can order an antire package deal with all parts, bearings, rings, 2G pistons and 1G rods etc. from there.

You will need the pins machined to fit the 2G pistons with the 1G rods.

*EDIT*
Fawk they went out of business, well good luck finding the parts heh..... sorry.
