GReddy to another brand of guages?

Mainly EGT.
Exhaust manifold is taped for the GReddy EGT so if I switched to Autometer or whatever, will the next temp probe be the same size fitting?

Are they a standard size already? do you have to make something work with other fittings? or re-tap?

I know the TRE probes work with the greddy gauge.

I got my probe from www.omega.com . Works great with my Greddy. THey have great customer service. Just tell them what you want. Mine cost around $45 bucks vs the ripoff that Greddy wants for a replacement probe. Most if not all are K-Type probes. I got a 1/8th NPT fitting with a 3" probe. I got foot and half of wire resistant to high temps and covered with a SS braided line. Also make sure you get the male and female connections. You'll have to cut off your connection on the stock greddy plug. You could make it work, but i chose to get a good connection and went this route.

OK.....I mean, can I use the GReddy probe with the Autometer gauge?

And if not, When I install the all new Autometer gauge and probe, will the fitting be able to screw into the same threaded size hole in my manifold?

Out of curiosity, why are you switching to the autometer gauge? I would say that it should work because they are all "K type" probes.

I was think of getting a gauge that matched my interior lights, Blue.

They are very nice gauges.. Wish they had 1g gauges like that

They do sell reverse indiglows for the 1G. When I change my gauges that is what I will be buying. I have seen them on Ebay before.
