hey guys i want a new turbo for my car, im tired of the old t-25 hunk o junk.

i have a 99 eclipse gst spyder with 56,000.

mods currently on car are.. greddy type s bov, k&N air filter, greddy frount mount intercooler, downpipe, and exhaust.

mods i plan on doing are the turbo or course, new injectors, 255 fuel pump. the apexi fuel controller, and the electronic boost controller.

Im looking for a new turbo. i want a turbo that will give me about 400 hp,
i was thinking about the 50 trim. but i dont know what kind to get. i search for them but get confuesed on what kind to get there are so man 50 trims or maybe i just get confuesed and get retarded looking for them.

or if you guys think i should go with another turbo. i want something that is fairly easy to install . help me out

The standard 50 trim is great. Go with a t04e compressor cover and .63 AR turbine housing. And deal with reputable dealers SlowBoy, AGP, Forced Performance you know our forum sponsors.

A good dealer makes a purchase easy and understandable

You can't go wrong with a 50 trim, and it will get you 400hp eventually. However I say go bigger. Down the road you might want a stroker or just have your DSM as a eekend drag car. I say 56 trim. Too big? Nah. I run a 65 lb/min compressor on my GT30 turbo. I have a stock 2.0 7 bolt and it is my daily driver. I assure you it's very streetable. Turbolag is something wimps complain about. If you have the $$$, go ball bearing. I highly recomend the AGP GT30 56 trim kit. If you're on a budget, get the bolt-on AGP RS65 :thumb:

Check out Bullseye performance. They supply AGP with their 50 trims anyway. Also they a T04B thats putting out 50lb/min (over 700 cfm), and good for 350-500whp depending on mods. They also offer it with a water cooled center section for $30 bucks more.

Follow the rules and you won't need to deal with people telling you to follow the rules...

get a 50 trim. u cant go wrong with that.. quick spool.. great power on pump.. potential to have more if u want.. great price.. u get something like a b16g/t28.. yea it will be good for a while.. then ull want something more.. i speak from experience.. ex b16g owner. and im sure there are many also..

ok god whatever man get real dude and get a life, im just trying to get some info about this shit dude. doesnt hurt to ask alittle questions. act like a i killed somebody or something.

Stop whining and do as he stated. Spoon-feeding crybabies. An EVO III 16G or 50-trim will give you 400BHP. :|

400 hp ... I'd go for at least a 50 trim ... my turbo is a 56 trim and a complete bolt on. Turbo is nice but once you get too big spool up sucks, and you really have to rev the car up to make power. Also a turbo that's too big won't be in its efficiency range at only 17 psi or so. You have to decide what kind of spool up you want, how high you plan to rev it ... what kind of cams you'll be using, and then how much boost. Don't waste your time with a 16g though.

20g. Spools up faster than a 50 trim, but is about 30 hp less up top. But since people hardly ever run turbos to full potential, I say 20g all the way.

And where did you get this info? I'd like to see that in writing.....

A 50trim will spool faster than a 20g, and probably produce a little less power up top if anything.

hahahaha i love it how, everytime i post something everyone gets in those arguements. and ppl start putting in there two sense, and FORGET totally what the question is about, you guys are toooooo funny man
but whatever i got evo III big 16 with install kit for 650 hella killer deal huh dude..
hahah sucka
bring on the ####y ass mustangs now bitches.

At most you only have 280whp and no AWD... You're still going to get smoked by more than half the mustangs, ESPECIALLY on the highway.

Those mustangs are gonna own your a$$ outta the hole with that FWD in a 3000lbs car. Then when they are 3 cars ahead after the first 120' you probably won't be able to catch up because the turbo you bought doesn't have enough top end to get the job done, should have bought a 50 trim.

You're going to want to upgrade from a 16g soon.

For that much money, You could have got the t04b v-trim with ss oilfeed/drain lines for only $100.00 more.. And you would be set for a good amount of time with the turbo.

Hope you like your new turbo though, I never owned the e16g, But i did own the s16g/b16g and they both were to small.
