are you kidding? he already has a 14b, why would he ever want to go through all the trouble of sticking a different manifold and smaller turbo on there?! even if it is upgraded it's still not a smart move. get a 16g. it's easy, it's proven, and it's pretty cheap.

I agree with what you are saying, but just to clarify although a modded t28 may appear smaller then a 14b it would easily outflow it as well as the 16g. Just doesn't make sence for a 1g though...........

t28 will out perform a 14b if its ball bearing and the sorts. Other wise a 14b will peak out better thana t28. Its more efficient at higher rpms, check flow maps. A 16g will give a good run for the money, cheaper than t28 and easier to install, good turbo for 250-350 hp.

I hope you guys are referring to the old T-28/28 and not the newer Big28. The Big28 out flows both the 14b and the small 16g. The Big28 is more comparable to the Big 16g.

Different manifold? Smaller turbo? What have you been smoking? The FPBig28 is significantly bigger than a 14b. Probably spools quicker too...

so you are telling me you don't have to change the manifold on a 1G to get it to accept a T28?

what bolt ons do i need to achieve a 325hp mark?????? and i want to know what that should bring my 1/4 to? please help

This is real easy in a 1st gen. Here is what you need.

small 16g, ported
small griffen/ spearco FMIC and piping
550 CC injectors
AFC
Walbro 190 fuel pump
2.5" down pipe
3" cat back
ported o2 housing
boost and egt gauge
boost control

This was my set up back in the day. I went 12.0 @ 115 with this setup about three years ago. Very simple, makes lots of good power, and a very fun daily driver!

Regards,

Mike Huml
