ive been wondering this for awhile and i gave up because my conclusion always ended up in 2.3 stroker.. but maybe thats just because i want that and dont need it...

anyway ny question is what engine mods would i need to put the rs52 on my car
(www.agpturbo.com -> dsm -> turbo upgrades-> rs series)
for sure i am getting cams because i am involved in a group buy for FP2's

i know what i would need is.
2g ex. manifold
walbro 255 pump
660 inj.
3" turboback
ngk bp7es + wires
safc
external wastegate
(i already have a fmic and bov)

but other then that would i need better rods/pistons?
what else would be a good idea

Sounds like you have it covered. I run the RS49 so we are not to far apart. You must have an AFPR? Fuel control, I use the MAF-Translator. You can use the internal gate if you want as it works well and an EVO manifold is what I use though SBR's manifold looks nice.
One thing I did which is optional for anyone is make a truly Cold Air Intake. My Talon is not my only ride so driving in the rain is not a concern. If interested PM me your email and I will send a pic. I believe having the turbo have at least 50* cooler air to start compressing is a nice advantage!
If your motor is in good condition, well maintained you should be good for 20 PSI with the stock internals. Lack of fuel is the biggest cause of piston failure. Get good logging equiptment. I use the Scanmaster that www.fullthrottlespeed.com sells. Shows knock, 02 voltage and over a dozen other pieces of data like timing as I am driving! It's great and will also hook to a palm for recording logs. Mark
