Allrighty I have an evo III 16g on my car its new because the t-28 not the t-25 well kinda blew the oil seal but besides that i have the turbo on and running and it is smoking a little bit from what seems to be the exaust side of the turbo from what i can see right where the exaust side attaches to the shaft housing its not a lot of smoke very thin can barly see it but it has a smell to it mabey like burnig oil or burning mettal need an answer as fast as anyone can tell me. Normal not Normal you know. thanks for any help it will be much appiciated. :talon:

Thats normal. there is some type of coating they put on there and that is what is burning. It will only do it for about 30 minutes if you ever buy a new exhaust manifold it will do the same. If it is still smoking after a while then I would be concerned.

Thanks I will check back later and also how long should I take it easy on her befor if it is broke in. :talon:

O.K. got normal thank you. So how long should it take to break-in 300mi 500mi or does it not need to be broke in other than that first ride you take because I havent seen anything on the subject because the only thing I have hurd is keep it under 3000 rpms when you take out for the first time and to not go more than 1/10th of a mile away from where you work on it just to see if anything breaks off orstarts to leak under pressure so any thoughts would be helpful. :talon:

Prime the turbo properly, install it, I bring the rpm's up to get some oil flowing, then go beat the snot outta it.
