Ok where is the best place on a 91 Talon TSI to get an accurate boost pressure reading for both your boost gauge, bov, and external wastegate if your turbo does not have a tap on it for the wastegate..... I would figure the stock bov location would be fine.... but I am still seeing some loss in total vacc in my system ever sene I stuck on my new turbo...

Boost gauges and BOVs usually need to tap from a source that reads vacuum as well as boost.

The BOV line should be used for the BOV (of course), but most people tap their boost gauges into the Fuel Pressure Regulator/Fuel Pressure Solenoid line. You can trace this line from your FPR to your FPS to the front of the intake manifold near the coil pack. Tee into this line for your boost gauge tap.

As far as wastegates go, you can use whatever line you want. If your turbo doesn't have a nipple on it for a boost pressure source on the compressor outlet, there are a few lines you can tee into and tap on the throttle body, or you can tee into the BOV line. Any of the lines will work that show boost will work, but some prefer to use a line that shows both boost and vacuum to make sure the wastegate stays closed between shifts. Personally, I don't think it matters much since we have BOVs and the air vents, but, to each his own.

Cliff's notes: Tap your gauge into the FPR line, use the stock BOV line for your BOV, and use whatever line you want for your wastegate.

Oh yeah - check for boost and vacuum leaks after capping everything up to make sure you don't have and leaks. You shouldn't be losing vacuum, no matter how you have everything set up.

that is sorta what I assumed..... I think everything will work out fine than...
