Calgary,
Now that I have a 1G to complement my Eclipse I would like to swap over some parts to the 1G like my old 2G exhaust manifold & O2 sensor housing. I already know that the O2 sensors are the same with the exception of cable length and possibly the plastic connector. Do 1G and 2G O2 sensors have the same plastic connector at the end of the cable or will I have to splice the 2G wire fit the 1G factory harness?

take your 1g o2 off the old housing and move it to the 2g housing  They have different connectors and possible read different voltages. A 2g running at .96 isnt uncommon while a 1g sensor might read .8X.... that on a 2g would be toast. Just stick with the right sensor.
