Thrust wear.

I am in the process of rebuilding my engine and it seems the Thrust ( on the crank) is wore pretty bad and may needed welded. It is a 93 7bolt , with 110k easily driven miles previously. I haven't found much info on possible causes for this, or problems with other cranks. If anyone has any info to throw my way i would would appreciate it.

run a search on "crankwalk" ... then get a new crank, new bearings, and hope for the best.

The block ate away at the crank leaving a ridge in the side of the crank throw.?

New crank/bearings, and good luck to ya.. You probably have a hell of a chamfer on the edges of your other bearing saddles.

I wouldnt use that block or crank :thumbdown . You have a high chance of it happening again.
