Crane cam #435-0012

Has anyone used the Crane 435-0012 cam on a 2.0L turbo, 1 or 2G? If so I have a few questions:

How did it idle and perform with out nitrous?

Did you need to degree the cams?

Did you have to cut the valve guides?

Crane has an 800 # for their tech department.The cam description says the guides need to be shortened. Mark

Thanks for the quick response. I called the Tech line but they didn't have anyone there at the time that had used the cams. So the Tech guy just shot from the hip and said they have a rough idle, require degreeing, and you need to cut the guides. I'm sure you probably do have to cut the intake guides but the exhaust, maybe not. I want them to be as long as possible so they will last. He didn't have any input on how well they run with or with out nitrous. The Tech did check to see if they are drilled for the 97+ CAS and they are.

What's different about the 97+ CAS that requires different dilling? thanks, Mark
