Taking out ECU

how do i take out my ECU to take a look at it? (i think its toast...)

Unbolt it and unplug the harnesses...

pop out the screw covers on both sides of the console, take out the six screws, use a 10mm socket with an extension to take out the 4 bolts holding the ecu in behind the radio and wiggle the ecu out the passenger side and disconnect the harnesses.

ight yeah, it came out, but on one side, its got a little black spot, and stuff clearly seems to be fried up near that. its not really bad, but its definatly different than the rest of the circuit board. so where do i get a new one and how much?

oh man...haha im not good with electricity. but basicially what he said is in most cases, if you go out and get a new one, that will probably go bad too?
