toronto,
I got a bit of cash to spend coming up, and am thinking I have basically stock fuel system now, and a stock smic.
I dont know whether or not to get bigger injectors fuelpump afpr etc, or get a nice FMIC a local dsm guy here does awesomework full made installed for around 7-800 canadian.
any thoughts, mods currently in profile, basically all of stage 1 is done, and the car has run a 13.7 as is right now.
I dont want to upgrade the turbo, I want to run decent 12 second slips on the stocker 14b, call me crazy.
thanks

I"d do the fuel system first. It's nice to have it out of the way so when you do other supporting mods later you don't have to worry about turning the boost up higher or running lean.

DSMotorsport has a sale on aeromotive fpr + all necessary lines + fittings for 220$, fuel pump w/ kit ~100, and buy used injectors for 200 (U.S. money)

I would do a front mount and a fuel pump, wait later for the injectors and fuel tuning device.

I am having to make the same decision myself right now. I can see the point in ditching the stock smic as soon as possible. However with it being winter, the smic has pretty cold air going to it right now. Also my injectors, probably his too, are running way over 90% duty cycle. Another problem with me having a 2g is fpr overrun with a 255 walboro that is supposed to make it hard to tune. So I guess I am asking is if the fmic would require more fuel, which is already in short supply?

It's not just about colder air, it's also about better flow, this effect will be greater on a car with a capable turbo (14b) and probably not so great on the T-25

ya, I was kinda of debating whether or not to hold off on injectors and an afpr, and just get a pump, becuase they can be had for very cheap anyways.
I dont wanna run anything more then a 14b, But at 16psi on a rewired stock pump im getting 100% duty cycles give or take.
whats a reasonable amount of power to run on stock injectors? and how much boost on the 14b on say a rewired 190 walbro, and a nice fmic, I personally prefer to get the fmic for estetic reasons, but dont care much for what looks pretty I want bang for buck...
could I say run 18-19psi run like this, I'm looking for high 12s in the spring btw.
thanks guys

Upgrade the fuel injectors, fuel pump, and get a tuning device. That would be easier to run 12's than with a fmic and fuel pump for sure. Once you get a bigger intercooler you are going to need more fuel than stock injectors, trust me. I upgraded my intercooler and needed more fuel, and so did my friend. I have run 12.8's with a 14b and a stock intercooler and pump gas, full weight too.

I'm sure lots of people have went 12's on the stock SMIC, but it's still a piece of shit that will heat soak mighty quick.

FMIC + pump, then injectors/AFC or whatever when you get the money.

Why not do both ? their are certain companies or vendors that will give you a great price break if you buy their products or combos .

P.s 7-800 wtf check out www.dsm.org their are guys their that would do it for 500 -600 installed , you could wait a bit more then do it all at once , but if i were you id do the fuel first then the intercooler , because,, say you do get fed up and want to upgrade that turbo you'r going to have to redo an intercooler pipe.

Do things right once instead of twice wrong.

Agreed. Don't learn this the hard way. But as for the 700-800 you have to realize thats canadian money and is worth around 35% less than american money. I dunno what the conversion rate is right now, but thats what it was when I was in Niagra in August.

All I am saying is if you want to run 12's with less money upgrade your fuel first. Or If you want to run 12's even faster, use racegas with just an upgraded fuel pump.
