turbo problem

alright i have a 95 gsx with the 4g63 i have an old air filter that needs to be changed and i think that could be the problem but the turbo spools and there is no oil in the BOV so i know its not blown but at high RPM's it seems that it kinda dogs down like it doesn't want to go any higher but then it does then after a few more grand like from 5 to 7 it does it agian any ideas on what this is.

do you have an after market boost gauge? I could be nothing more than the fact that the T25 sucks. It has trouble boosting at high rpm. Also, could be a boost leak or a hundred other basic tunning issues. We need more info on your setup, are you completely stock?

besides plugs and wires and an aftermarket BOV and the apexi n1 turboback (no cat) everything else is stock
