As of right now, my turbo is stock, but won't be come jan..so not too long away. Seeing as I have to rebuild the head anyways. I Was thinking of putting some cams in. Now I know I will not even see 1/4 of the potential that I would get out of them with a stock turbo, but nevertheless. Does anyone in here run the Webcam Street Grinds? Or the HKS 264/272 Combo? How are they on the street? Did you see much gain from them?

Also while my car is down and we are pulling/putting head back on, I was thinking it would be agood time to get my ECU socketted for DSMLink, but still running stock injectors, wise or no?

DSMLink=good idea

Cams now? Honestly man, just wait and buy something that's gonna give you an increase now and will still be of use later. Exhaust? FMIC? Or just buy the turbo now. Also, fuel pump and bigger injectors would suit you better than cams, for a long time.

I agree. Get your fuel system set up for the upcoming turbo upgrade. Stock cams are good enough for 11's. :thumb:

Yeah, that is why I posted, get some other opinions. So with the DSMLink, would they program it for my stock injectors? And is there anyway that I would be able to change that? How does that work?

I have all the supporting mods to get a bigger turbo, minus the FMIC and fuel system. So I think I will either upgrade the fuel system...or some new shocks..since mine are blown and squeak..

I just got my DSMLink and you can get it programed for stock injectors but the guy I spoke with recomended that I go ahead and get the injectors at the same time. If you get it programmed for stock injectors then you get new ones you will have to send it off again.

If you get it programmed for the injectors that you are gonna get without the actual injectors being installed then you run the risk of the car shutting down due to lack of fuel and then you will be in a world of trouble. You might want to skip the cams right now and go ahead and get the DSMLink and the injectors instead.

You don't have to send it off again, you'd just have to reset your dead time and global fuel. What they burn into the chip is just a base setting, it's easily changed.

as tjh-dsm said, the DSMlink eprom wouldnt need to be reprogrammed as you can just change the settings in DSMlink one time and youd be fine unless power is lost which would revert it back to the burnt chip settings.
