SS Valves over stock?

What is the benefit of SS Valves over stock? And about how much do stock valves cost from the dealer? I would call, but they are closed.

Maybe the onyl difference bewtween the 2 is that "I think" SS will resist breakage during detonation, compared to stock.
I use stainless they were actually a dollar or 2 cheaper than than stock.
Maybe 15 a piece SS.

Yeah, RRE has SS replacement valves for 8$ each.

Stainless Steel is much less prone to wear in the stem area due to friction in the valve guides as well as the detonation issue previously mentioned.

I think a reason most people have SS valves is if they plan to run nitrous, it will burn hotter and the stock valves can't take the heat but the SS valves can (take the heat better).

Just FYI, the stock valves are SS, the ones RoadRaceEngineering sells for $8 are factory replacements, just alot cheaper than the dealership..go swirl polished..
