1G-2G Head Swap..who here has done it?

I was just wondering if anyone in here has done this? I am seriously considering doing it..since I have most of the stuff already in my garage..just need to get a few pieces for the head,valves,springs,retainers.

Does anyone know where online I can buy a valve spring compressor so I can put the valves in and such. Reason I was asking if anyone has done this, is because I might run into things..well..I will run into a few probs, so I would like your advice

your not the only one thinking of this but i changed my mind and decided just to get a craped out 2g head and port it all nice and slap the 1g intake and 1g throttle body the 2g has got more meat on the walls in there to work with there for makeing a stronger head with better flow after porting just my 0.02 cents =0)

i strongly suggest getting a machine shop to assemble the head for you unless you really know what your doing. They have to check for exact clearances and what not. Not a simple job..

Yeah..I did reconsider..and I am gonna get it done at a shop..for like 185$ with a valve job..I decided I wasn't too smart enough with stuff like that..and get it done right
