Questions about swapping stuff from my 90 FWD to a 96 AWD...

Hey,

I have a 90 FWD Turbo. Recently rebuilt motor with ross pistons, 1g big rods, aem cam gears, comp cams, 20g turbo, evo 3 manifold, 02 w/dump, gm maf, 255 walbro pump, 650s, SBR FMIC with piping, ACT 2600, ACT flywheel, KYB Shocks, and Eibach Springs.


I found a 96 awd eclipse with a blown motor....what can be swapped and what cant be swapped?

For the actual motor swap...do I need anything else or just modfied motor mounts?

If the other car is complete all you need is your 6bolt that it.

The 255 will need an install kit for a 2g awd. Intercooler will need new piping. The sbr 2g and 1g intercoolers have different endtanks completly, thats something to think about(meaning it might not fit). By looking at your pics of your old gst looks like you can make anything fit. looked great tho. And im not sure about the shocks and springs dont wanna tell you anything thats inacurate

Man go for the swap it is so worth it! You will have a new car with a bullet proof engine. IF all that is wrong with the 2G is a blown motor you are gonna love it.

Also you need a cam angle sensor out of a vr4 i believe. Or just a 1g cam angle sensor with a harness attached (plug on the wire coming out of the sensor). the 1g sensor will give the input for the crank angle sensor(found on 2gs not on 1gs) and the cam sensor input to the ecu. The cranks angle sensor will be eliminated.
