Ok lets hear the real deal from 50 trim guys,mods ,timeslips and dyno numbers please!

I keep hearing how the 20 gs are actuallly faster than the 50 trims.I also have serveral non turbo talon savy friends that think no way my car can put out anywhere near 500 engine hp with all supporting mods.

So lets have it and don't care about proven digitally scanned time slips.Just informally.What did you dyno with your 50 trim and be as detailed about all your mods as possible.What did you run at the track .Have any non nitrous 50 trims gone 10s yet?

And lastly maybe even a bit of how personally you like your 50 trim and any interesting kill stories you would like to relate.

I have no dyno near me and not sure the closest ones even can do awd cars think have to buy that special thing so they can do it.And they are all 500 miles away.I do have track couple hours out but didn't have my car up and running this season .And I do have tazzo and if the roads get a bit better can mabye at least try a few times on that.Its like a gtech.I took it to track with my other cars and it was 2 tenths faster and 2.3 mph higher ,60ft was right on with track and you can calibrate it to be exactlly same as track.

Anyway winter is here and its boring around here guys.can't even full throttle my car on the icy roads.So cheer me up and tell me what my 50 trim will do at the track and dyno and realize there are still quite a few variables.
 
Hey i love my 50 trim. I have made well over 430whp, 448whp @ 27psi to be exact pump gas. I love this turbo because it's specifically built to run on pump gas. Yeah who has the time and money to keep filling up on race fuel?? Sure if i put race fuel in i can get a little better results and the car will run alot safer, but i wanted to build a pump gas only car. The 50 trim is very streetable and very deadly, it's all whatever you want out of it. Of course you will need the supporting mods but if figured you already had that. On a street psi level of 18 my car pulls hard enough to beat your high powered stock V8's (SS, Cobra, WS6)and still get pretty decent gas mileage. Now for the numbers. My best run to date was an 12.3 @ only 22psi still (lots o' spin) :( . I know i can better that time by atleast .5 EASILY with a more aggressive tuning (tuned on the rich side to be safe) and stickier tires maybe street drag radials, also this is w/No N2O. I have not yet sprayed and will not until my car is fully tuned on the recently bought AEM EMS. I have high expectations to hit 10's with tuning and possibly low 10's with N2O (100shot). I know you people are probably saying with what i have i can hit much lower but i am tuning MYSELF and will admittedly accept the fact i have very little tuning experience but i am slowly learning. I have never lost a highway race (at FULL 27psi) to any car which includes (ZO6 mildy built, 450whp Honda, SSw/125shot) and a few other choice cars. This turbo is perfect and u will love it. Now if all you want is the fastest 1/4 times than of course something bigger is needed. But if you want the best of both worlds, street/highway/strip and doing it all on pump gas then my recommendation is a 50 trim. Oh my future results are now hoped on with a GSX. I have transplanted my entire set-up to a '97GSX. Hey i hope this helps, I am one happy camper and i know you will be too.
 
Ive been running my AGP 50-trim for a while now. So far other troubles have plagued me, and I havent gotten the car up to par yet. I ran a 12.7 @ 111.3 mph.. Im running a centerforce DF with over 20k miles on it and 50+ launches on it. If you can imagine it doesnt hold very well at all.

Also knock has kept me from getting a good tune. The run was at stock fuel setting with about 100octane and 26psi. Stock cams, FMIC, 780's, 2.5" downpipe, 3" cat back, DSMLink..some other stuff..

Right now the car is in the garage getting the batt relocated, FP2 cams, and methanol injection. Its almost done, and might be at the track in a few weeks with the new mods.

The clutch is still slipping, but Ill get a number before the end of the season.

I dont have very much info yet about my times/numbers but i soon will.

I run the AGP t3/to4e 50 trim turbo kit with a built 6-bolt, comp race cams, FRH intake manifold and everything in between. Oh and an AEM EMS :cool:

I dynoed 286 whp on 9 PSI with the 50 trim but couldnt go any more because my clutch was slipping. I ran at the track to see what my MPH was without launching and with like a 3.0 60' LOL.....I was running 107-108 MPH's which isnt to bad on 9 PSI.

Im going back to the dyno tommorow to get it tuned for 25+ PSI on pump....THEN if i decide to bump the boost a little more, ill throw in some torco race fuel concentrate and kick the boost up to about 30 on the 50 trim.

This is all in a 98 GSX full leather interior...Its a heavy bi***!

I have some goals on what power i want to make on pump gas tuning perfectly with the AEM....Well see how it goes. :thumb:
 
Think your numbers aren't that bad considering thats still like 350 engine I think or a bit more and only at 9psi.So you have a new clutch now or what..otherwisse if it was slipping at 9 it will be smoking at 25?? OMG
My goal is to have around 400whp at 20psi once with my cams and good intercooler.Or is this possible anybody get to this level with their 50trim and this boost level?
 
I have a new clutch in there. LOL.....

I also shift at 8500 RPM and when i was on the dyno, the clutch slipped at around 8k or so but my power curve was still going up!!!

Ya, i guess i still made some decent power for that boost level. Im nervous and excited at the same time to see what she does. Any predictions? :thumb:
 
I did 12.3@112 on Pump gas, stock 90 cams, stock intake mani, s-afc/maft. No tuning at track, only previous night on a back road for 15mins.

Also had blown KYB AGX's, bald cooper touring SLE's. Best 60ft was a lowsy 1.86

Now have 272's etc, butt dyno says big difference, havent run it again tho.
