I got a B&M fuel pressure gauge on my fuel filter that reads 38psi, and i have a CHM fuel pressure gauge on my AFPR and it reads 30psi. I guess i should go with the new one on the AFPR but thats such a difference im amazed.

As long as it raises fuel press 1:1, and it holds base pressure at whatever you set it to, don't worry about it. Check the vacuum line going to it, and make sure whatever gauge you put on your reg, you trust and it works prefect.

Thats what i was thinkin too, its a liquid filled and i would think its more accurate. I can see a few psi difference from the fuel filter to the fpr but 8 psi i thought was alot, and it makes me doubt which one is right.

Dont mean to bring this thread back, however didnt see the point in starting a new one, i have the CHM liquid gauge on my areomotive regulator, and recently it started to leak the liquid out of the gauge. will this have any effect on the accuracy of the gauge? i know its not leaking gas because the liquid is clear, and doesn't smell like gas (or anything for that matter). thanks

The liquid is in there as a dampener for the needle, so if the car vibrates a lot already and the liquid leaks out then the needle may bounce around more thus affecting accuracy. I don't see how fluid leaking out would affect the reading of the gauge since it's only in there to dampen the needle from vibrations.

You shouldn't see much difference in the measurements. I have my fuel pressure sensor for my gauge around that location and my mechanical pressure gauge on my afpr (gauges at two different ends of the fuel rail). I don't see a huge difference, I may need to start my car once to check, but I know it's not much. I'd be worried if there was a huge difference.
So with that said, one of your two gauges is reading wrong.
