02 housing question

I was looking to get a new o2 housing from victory performance. I noticed that have a o2 housing that will let you mount the dump tube from the external wastegate and have it routed back into the exhaust http://www.victoryperformance.com/product/blowup.cfm?picture=225656_26_full.jpg&ProductID=504

My question is will this effect performance to the point where you could lose power? Or is doing an external dump tube the best way? I know a few people that dont like the sound of an external dump tube ( i personally like it) but i just wanted to know if it would effect performance with using a turbo like a 50trim, 3052 and so on

if it did effect performance you probably wouldn't notice it, its mostly for noise issues and being somewhat more legal when you get pulled over.

You can buy that 02 housing and still make it an external dump. All you need to do is rotate the external waste gate clockwise 90*, get a flange and make a 4" dump tube with a bend pointing to the ground. Then just make a plate to cover the hole that leads back into the 02 housing.

This will give you the option of either venting to the atmosphere or back into the exhaust with out buying another 02 housing. Check with your vendor if there will be a clearance issue if you rotate the gate. I doubt it but just double check to see if there will be any problems or clearance issues since you'll be investing $285+ Not to mention I just thought of this idea.

I have a 40mm external gate which is mounted on my header. I'll be using a flexible exhaust dump tube which will route back into the 02 housing and if I want I'll be able to disconnect the dump tube from the 02 housing and run it to the ground then just cover/seal the hole on the 02 housing. Basically, I'll be able to dump to the atmosphere or recirculate.
