Im just curious.....
Question 1: lets say i had a 4g63 running on an engine stand, and i unplugged the knock sensor. how does the engine respond? any thoughts?
Question 2: What is the major difference in a turbo from a turbo diesal, and a regular car turbo (14b for instance)??. obviously size of the turbine.....what else? what kind of turbos come on most turbo diesals? garretts?

thanks!

from my little knowledge on turbo diesels... i work with em(go figure), the turbos diesel trucks and semi's are running are made exactly for them. meaning you have to have and engine running near 15:1 compression to get any hp benefits from them

If you have an engine running at idle, unplugging the knock sensor shouldn't affect anything (except maybe setting a CEL).
