hey I was just wondering what i would have to do to a completely stock 90 GSX, to handle a Garret T3. I need to know the absolute minimum that needs to be done even if i have to run it on low boost.

thanks
john

why?? :) do the supporting mods first and be happy with yer 14b before you bother throwing on a huge turbo without the supporting mods.. but you would need injectors a fuel controller, and prolly an upgraded fuel pump.. most likely an upgraded intercooler and well ya know, the usuals :)

LOL, THE REASON I WAS WONDERING IS BECAUSE MY 14B IS REALLY MESSED UP IT DOSEN'T SPOOL OR ANYTHING. SO I WAS LOOKIN FOR A 16G UPGRADE AND FOUND THE 16G THANKS FOR YOUR HELP, I'VE DECIDED NOT TO BUY IT ANYWAY.

JOHN

The 16g is an OEM turbo designed to operate under factory settings.
He does not need to do any mods. He says his car is stock, the only
reason he would need to add mods is if he added mods.

Evo =)

I agree with LarryD though... he needs to watch things since the 16g will be pushing another 100 or so cfm.

No mods required, but monitoring equipment I'd consider a must!

Right. I suggest a 100 dollars of insurance in the form of a upgraded fuel pump.

Later,

the 16G is a stock turbo on the 16g but you need to keep in mind that the evo has slightly different motors. They have 4G63 motors with 8.7:1 compression. If I am not mistaken, they also have larger injectors. He would be fine on a 16G as long as he leaves the boost down at 10psi. Any higher than that, definatly get the FP AND A BOOST GAUGE.

IF there are no fuel mods and the MAF is a virgin then installing a 16G will most likely haveyou hitting fuel cut very shortly.

This is a damn good point. Hitting a brick wall every 10 ft. wouldn't be fun =)
