i am looking for web sites on porting 2g exhaust manifolds/o2 housings and head runners to match looking for the procadure and how much i can actually port. i am porting the 2 g exhaust manifold and its going back on a 2g unported head. is it even goning to do me any good. also can u port the exhaust side of the head just on the runners with out messign up air flow. i am also looking for a site that has a procedure on 2g ballence shaft elim kit.

but that doesnt help me i have a 2g car he was porting a 2g exhaust manifold to fit a 1g head. i am lookig for porting a 2g to match a 2g head or will there even be any benifits from doing it i am looking for a porting site that has a a 2g manifold ported to fit back on a 2g head. also would it hurt it if i port the exhaust side of the head just on the out side of the runners

I don't think you'd gain anything from porting the exhaust side of the head. As far as porting the manifold .. take a 2g exhaust manifold gasket and hold it up to the manifold. Port away until it all matches up. Simple as that.

you DONT gain anything from porting the runner opening... why would you do that if your head isn't proted also? it's like putting a 3" pipe over a 2" one.. doesn't make sense..

what DOES make sense is porting the runners and leave the opening the same.. this way the cross section flow is higher... oh, and get a 7cm gasket and port match that bizzatch and grind the runner half way down ;)

I dont know if this will help or not, but its the same general procedure for doing any porting of a head. its not very detailed but it will give you an idea of what you're looking to do, or rather what you should look into doing to actaully get a benefical result.

now i know he does extremely good port and polish work. It'll cost you, i emailed him to price out a P&P for my friends 420a head and he said that he could do it for around $550, this includes the bowl work and a Valve job is $165, which includes assembly of the valves and springs.

If you're intrested in that or have any questions, feel free to email him. you can find his email address on his site.
