The 2600 kit is called the "MB1-XTSS". ;)

Go to the gym.

Do some squats.

Buy the 2600.*

Thanx for the help.....so that means that the "MB1-HDSS" would be the 2100???? correct me if i am wrong???? thanx

Correct! And the MB1-XXSS is the 2900 kit. Not sure what the 3200 is though...

I went straight to a 2600'd DSM from a slushy Honda Accord...it ain't all that bad. ;)

A 2600 is total overkill for your application. There is no point to running a clutch with that much pressure. I have made over 100 passes at the track with my 2100 in the last two years and it's still going strong. Just this weekend I pulled a 1.72 60ft and went 12.123@115mph on my old ass 2100. I'm now going to run a 2600 because I'm building a motor and putting nitrous on it for a lot more power.

Do yourself a favor and buy the right part for your application, buying total overkill will only waste your money and give you a heavy pedal it won't make your car any faster.

Also: before you start asking questions update your damn profile, I don't even know what year you drive

oh Jim Jim Jim he made up his mind and you enter. I have a feeling this post will go on for awhile now.

Yeah I know. 20 people who run a second slower than me with a 2600 will chime in telling me that I'm wrong, I can see it coming.

Ah, you girls and your 2100's ;) :p

What you guys said and the fact that a weaker clutch will go before the tranny "in theory" and clutches are cheaper than trannies

I just wanted to add that those clutch #'s are for a 1g DSM (6-bolt motor). If you have a 7 bolt motor in a '92-94 or any '95 DSM, you may need to order a different clutch.

There i updated my profile now you can have a look.....Darn it... i was sold on the 2600 and now i am thinkin about 2100 again.....Hmmmm i want to make the right decision.,. if you run low 12's with it then i am sure ut will work for me... if i hit 12's i will be happy.....what is the rating of the stock clutch???? i want to know how much bigger they are from stock....anyone know????????/// pls

I believe their site i www.advancedclutch.com. Again I believe the 2100 has 20% to 60% more holding than stock.
The 2600 might not be needed but I like it for insurance, hope not to use it but if it's there it's good if I do need it! I fried a 2100 with a bad launch so now I am running the 2600. the price between the 2 is a lot less than buying both like I did, within 3months!
Klutz I was dropping the pedal too hard and with too much PM. Thing is a rarely launch the car from a stop but I was checking times with a "g-Tech". Mark

i have also been running a 2100 for a little over a year. first i ran the t25 on it then the big16g for a while, running 12.8's consistent and one 12.655 with an assload of 1.7 and 1.8 60 foots. even a couple 1.6 60 foots here and there. im now running a 50 trim and the 2100 is still going strong. although when i go to the track for a day i can smell burnt clutch after about 1 or 2 launches, it still grabs nice and doesnt hesitate to yield me 1.7 60 foots. :dsm: all in all i also probably have about 100 awd launches on this clutch :dsm:

however when i go 6 bolt im sure a 2600 will be in check

I guess I'm the outsider on this thread. I run a Exedy Cerametallic clutch. A friend of mine has a 2100 on a big 16g and hasn't had a problem.

LOL, the 2600 is not that harsh. my ex wife could drive the old eclipse with a 2600 NO PROBLEM.
