I recently installed a " Rebuilt Engine" in my 92 GSX. I also installed a 2G exhaust manifold and a PTE turbo. When the car is cold my oil pressure is fine, when it heats ut to normal operating temp at idle I have low pressure and the dummy light comes on. As soon as you give it a little gas the pressure comes up and the light goes off. I have an external oil cooler and filter. I am running synthetic oil. I have only put about 25 miles on the car since the engine installation. I have kept the boost pressure below 5 psi as I am afraid of destroying my new turbo. Does this sound like the oil pump? If so can I replace it without pulling the motor out of the car? any help would greatly appreciated.
