I am about to get an Ingen intake, but on the order forms they want you to specify if you have a stock bov or aftermarket bov.... my next upgrade is gunna be an upper i/c pipe and new bov...... is this gunna matter if i get the intake for a stock bov now?? Whats up with this?

If you want to get an aftermarket BOV, I would get the Greddy Type-S because it works the best for our cars. I've used the Apexi and HKS SS and it would stall my car. If you want to go with something simpler, go to your local junkyard and look for a 1G BOV and get it crushed. :D

the reason they ask that is becuase one intake has a port for the BOV to recirculate back to the intake pipe just like the stock hose does, and the other pipe doesnt.. I have a Greddy Type S and the Greddy UIC and LIC and the Injen intake, its a nice combo :)

I have the HKS SS and you can buy it so it will recirculate back in. I have never had a problem with it. I bought mine because I wanted a different sound. Now I have an external wastegate dumping into the atmosphere.

BOV? What BOV? I can't hear it anymore anyway.... :D

gstspyder1998, was yours piped back in?

Larry witch Injen intake do you have? with or without the port? I just got my Greddy Type S, Greddy upper and lower IC pipes, and AVC-R boost controller today. I've got the Injen intake with the port. Any problems installing yours?

one of the first mods i did to my car was the injen intake, i had it with my stock BoV, and at least I could tell the diff in air flow, a couple of months ago i bought the HKS SSBOV and i have it on my stock UICP...when u install an after market BoV the side of the injen intake has an opening where the dump tube would go, i tried putting a breather on just to experiment, NOT A GOOD IDEA...i don't know if i was doing anything wrong but my car would "hesitate"..at full throttle...it was DISGUSTING!...so i took it off and sealed it.....im about to get greddy UICP from my friends GST....he also has a greddy PE exhaust...does anyone know if i'll have any problems putting it on my gsx???....

Yeah, its probably a good thing you plugged it back up... It was running crappy because you were getting all kinds of extra air coming in (and probably leaking back out) of your intake that the MAS wasnt reading, therefore giving you the wrong amount of fuel... at least, that is what I am figuring... :)
