AFC wont show knock

Ever since I hooked up my AFC it has never shown one count of knock ever. My datalogger will show it all day long. I double checked today and it IS tapped into the right wire on the ECU harness. I even double checked the AFC install manual with vfaq and it is for sure connected to the right wire. I traced the wire from where it was connected to the ECU harness all the way back to the AFC to see if it was cut or damaged anywhere and it is all OK. Any ideas? Maybe I am missing some kind of setting on the AFC that makes it read knock? I dunno.

It won't work on a 1G.1G's have a wideband knock sensor, which requires a bandpass filter to detect knock, the AFC has no such filter.

Really? I thought it was the other way around. It didnt work on 2G's, only 1G's. Why would they even tell you where to tap into the ECU to get a knock signal then...thats ghey. Hm.
