Okay for those who have installed 3" exhaust...how the hell did you cram that under there and no scrape constantly. I've tried and tried to route the pipes on my Talon just by looking at it, and I can't see how it would fit without being signifigantly lower to the ground. The Talon is a stock height now but I'm getting adjustable groundcontrol coilovers and only planned on dropping an inch and a half....

I doubt i'll have any exhaust left on the first speedbump I have to go over...

Thanks for any input on this one,..

-You should be fine if you use a muffler in the back, I'm not using a rear muffler, have 2 resonators and vent from the side, with the car lowered 1.5", the lowest point (resonator) have ~3.5" ground clearance.

I have full 3" with a muffler and am lowered about 1.75" and havent scraped once...dont worry about it!

Candela, did they have to route it differently than the factory exhaust? I'm custom making my 3" because I am friends with the owner of a local muffler shop, whom happens to own a mandrel bender. But he says it might hang way too low, that is why I asked. If it doesn't, that great I'll give it a try.

Guess I could get the intercooler piping made for the FMIC...although I haven't bought an FMIC yet...

my car is dropped as low as you can go on the GC coilovers and haev a 3" apexi n1 exhaust.. I scrape from time to time but it doesnt cause any damage.. bottoming out is another issue though, thats more painful to the exhaust

im dropped about 1.75 inches with a 3 inch turboback atr and i have no problems at all, only on tall speed bumps after the front wheel goes over i get a little scrape, nothing to worry about though.

ditto my car is lowered about 2" and no scraping issues

Okay, for those that use 3". Is the 3" system you purchased routed identical to the factory exhaust system, or was it routed a little differently?

My car is lowered 3" inches this week i am taking it over to west virginia and have the pipes from the downpipe back all converted from 2.5 to 3 inches, and a flowmaster muffler to give it a deep grumble sound. I know the guy he is gonna give me a discount and level it even at 200 for parts and labor.:thumb:

I have full 3" exhaust and my car is lowered 1.8" with Eibach springs. I've only scraped once trying to get in the car wash, and it wasnt too bad.

Thanks all.
I can't tell you how much I appreciate the poll of responses. If it scrapes I'll find out were each of you live...:thumb:
