AWD to FWD?!?

I have a 1990 GSX and the tranny is messed up, I can't find an AWD tranny but I found a FWD, is it worth it if i convert my AWD to FWD.
I think AWD is better than FWD, you know,when taking off at racing. hey give me info which one is better.

don't do it man. Wait for the right part, or get another car and use yours for spare parts. you will miss the awd for sure...
