Al Blahas Hacked MAS

Hey there fellow DSMers, I wanna start a tout about Al Blahas hacked MAS. I personally thought it was a dumb idea especially seeing all the problems people had after cutting up their MAS. After doing some reading I have a list of tech questions regarding this type of upgrade. I saw a few pics of this and read a few articles some seem very content that this is a good upgrade. I know the lower honeycomb was gutted and sometimes completely removed runner and all. Also the electronics was altered. The only thing I know about the electronics is that a resistor was removed and taped off or set aside. I am interested in what was altered as far as the electronics go and why? Also who has succesfully done this mod and had trouble and fixed it, what did they do? Who has done this and didnt have any problems what so ever? This will help me consider doing this mod if it will spool my turbo quicker and git rid of feul cut, maybe I too will be a Al Blaha believer, or maybe not. Thanks!!

-The Al Blaha MAS is best option with the 1G MAS. (Good Flow)
*Al Blaha MAS - $150.00
*Suggested AFC - $300.00

-The 2G MAS will flow better, but is more costly. (Better Flow)
*2G MAS - $100.00
*2G MAS Adapter - $180.00
*K&N Adapter - $20.00
*AFC - $300.00
*Fuel Pump - $150.00
*Suggested 550CC Injectors - $290.00

-No MAS is the best flow, but very costly (MAX Flow)
*VPC - $1000.00
*Fuel Pump - $150.00
*550CC Injectors - $290.00
*more... I'm not sure on this one.

-I have the 2G set-up, and am very happy with it. If your planning on getting everything anyways, it may be worth it. If you don't want to get everything at once, the blaha is the way to go. All good choices tho'. People have run 12s with all 3 setups. (Plus other supporting mods)
