Can i use leaded race gas in my car. A friend of mine has about 5 gallons of this leaded race gas and i'm wondering if it's safe to use it on my car. I have have only the 1st oxygen sensor plugged in, no cat , no 2nd O2 sensor. Anyone else used leaded gas in their car? Thanks.

I've got about 6 gallons mixed in my tank right now. 112 Sunoco "Blue" leaded. i run it once evry couple of weeks due to the $6./gallon tag!

C16 is $8 a gallon + :thumbdown

We got 119 Sunoco ( I think) for $5 a gallon out of pump here :thumb:

C16 is $6.30 a gallon here. We even have 101 at the pump at some of our gas stations.

That would be nice. Up here the best we can do at the pump is 91.

You should check that Sunoco station again. I've never heard of Sunoco 119-- I bet it's GT100 instead.

And yeah, our C16 is $8+ a gallon too-- we have a VP Racing Fuels station in Ft. Lauderdale. I'm planning on getting some tomorrow for our upcoming Dyno Day this weekend.

As long as you put a couple thousand miles on the O2 sensor using regular gas, the soot buildup will protect it from leaded gas for quite a while. I get years and years out of O2 sensors using leaded gas every week at the track. I pump it all out before I drive home though. Running leaded gas on a new sensor will kill it quickly. Its also bad for cats, but you dont have one.
