Nope, sorry dude....the higher the octane rating the slower it burns.....BUT the higher the octane the lower chance of detonation....Hmmm so to me its a toss up...i mean when guys go to the track and run race gas and turn boost up 5-7psi....Of course they run faster....But they get the power from the boost not the gas....But without the gas then you cant run that high of boost......Grrrr... so if i stay a 17 i am not to sure if 94 will help....And the difference will be so small that i wont beable to feel with my butt dyno......Hmm...OHhh yah and my regards to you poor guys that only have 91 octane,....i can get 94 from the local chevron..heheh :)

I say how is the car runnin now, does it knock when you drive it or beat on it with 92 octane? There is no reason to do it unless you are knocking, or want to retune it for your mods.

Burn rate doesnt vary a whole lot with octane, but high lead content can affect it. I found that the 94 octane stuff is kinda risky, depending on what station I get it from. The higher octane value doesnt help much if its been sitting in the gas stations tank for 9 months :) I stick to the regular 93. But if 92 is the next best thing, it might be worth trying out. With a datalogger and some tuning you should be able to tell if its better, worse, or the same.

Higher octane isnt nesesarely related to burn speed it has alot more to do with what temp it will burn at. Since combustion is a controled flame and not an explosion(detonation) you have to adjust your octane acording to intake temp and pressure. Octane isnt what gives you power its what lets you make safer power.

Yah so without a logger i dont think there is much use of tryin 94....because i dont have any means of checkin for knock....once i can log then i will try it.....Thats exactly right..Higher octane just gives you the oppurtunity to turn up the boost adn make the power from the extra boost....the higher octaner just lowers the chance of detonation... So when you guys go to the trck and run race gas...how much do you turn it up??? or do i need a logger to monitor knock before doin so????????????????????? :)
