Alright... Im NOT saying im going to give my car another chance...im just THINKING about ... how much would an Engine rebuild cost usually? How long do they take??

Anyone from Michigan recommend a good mechanic in the Oakland/Lapeer county area. I dont want to use my normal guy because ht akes forever on things like this and he cuts corners sometimes and it pisses me off when i have to redo crap cuz its not done right.


ANYWAYS....

My Car has a hard knock going on, it sounds like its at the top of the engine i have ran it long on the knock at all, maybe like 1 minute max and it wasj ust when it happened....


Who knows, maybe i might have some spare cash laying around to revive the DSM..MAYBE

Ok the car has like a hard knock comming from the top of the engine, I ddont think that it was the timming belt that blew but maybe it was, the car still tuirns over but there is the knock and like no performance at all the car felt like it was barely running just before it stalled out, and then when i turned it back on the car had a hard knock.....

So i guess i need an engine rebuild.

Does anyone know how much these usually cost? I was told ballpark is around 600, if thats the case, the DSM will get fixed, otherwise.... yeah.
