JDM and USDM motors are idecntical. They got some different turbso in a small case but the motors are otherwise exactly the same. They got the cyclone manifold as well, however again, the motors are identical.

ok, thanks alot. i figured they were, just making sure before i get something i cant use.

Since this thread is out there, let me ask a question. I have a 1G (manual transmission) Turbo yadda yadda and had a JDM engine swapped in due to valves hitting pistons.

The JDM engine was likely an automatic; it had the TD04 tubo, 390cc injectors, and a smaller throttle body etc. Now would that engine have had automatic cams and thus should I be shopping for some turbo cams as I'm loosing some power there due to the different grind on the cams, or did the JDM engines not have different cams in the automatics?

If so, is there any way to tell the difference between auto and turbo cams as I have a spare head that *might* have turbo cams but I don't know how to tell.

take the injectors, turbo and cams from your old 6bolt....

Well that was 4 years and 60,000 miles ago so likely I've just been driving this car w/ auto cams all along. I'll have to get some true manual cams then as with the a Big 16g and exhaust etc. it should breathe a little better than it does now with auto cams.
